I am in search of differences between the F100 and F350? front fenders.
Anyone have: Details? Pictures? Dimensions?
Thanks.
Large Opening Front Fender...
Re: Large Opening Front Fender...
Fender radius is determined by original tire/wheel sizes. Thus, an F100 could have the larger radius fenders if ordered with large diameter wheels/tires. Naturally, F350's by default, had larger tires, so they all got the large radius fenders.
For purposes of identification, horizontal fender opening near the bottom is 36" on the smaller radius, and 45" on larger radius.
I can provide side by side comparisons, but have yet to learn how to get photos onto this site.

45" opening radius front fenders: 1961/65 F100 4WD & 1961/66 F100 2WD with 17.5" wheels; 1961/66 F250 4WD & 2WD with 19.5" wheels; 1966 F100 4WD with 17.5" wheels; 1961/66 F350.

My note:
** AFAIK, the large opening fenders are not reproduced, and because of this, originals in good condition command a good price........

Re: Large Opening Front Fender...
I have to find a set of those larger fenders. I am looking to add wheel clearance for my frame swapped 63.
Re: Large Opening Front Fender...
I hope you can find some in your part of the world.
I've located a pair, but cant get it all worked out to get them from point a to point b.
From what I have observed, it appears one could use the smaller fender, trim away the lower stamping and roll the edge under to create the same large opening fender.
I will eventually try this method and see how they come out. If I can get access to a tig welder, I may even split the front part of the fender and move the lowest part closest to the front of the tires forward by removing a pie shaped piece. I think it would provide more clearance at the front and look better.

Re: Large Opening Front Fender...
Guess I will have to find how to post pics here!
I have the small radius fenders on my lifted short bed '66 F250. With both body and chassis lifts, my only issue is clearance at the front lower as mentioned. A very small pie-shaped cutout has in fact alleviated any potential problem.
I have a stash of large radius fenders with rust-through at lower rear that I have kept with the idea of repairing with patch panels in case of need.

May or may not float your boat, but here are some overwidth with oversize openings, actually intended for Pre-Runner trucks.....
