BRAKE DRUM SELF ADJUSTER KITS PART NUMBERS

After much weeping and gnashing of teeth with local parts stores I found the following p/n's that allowed me to get these parts locally, BUT the online prices was much better, the following was listed FOR
1965 FORD F-100 5.8L 352cid V8 : Brake/Wheel Hub : Drum Brake Self Adjuster Repair Kit
I found our local Advance Auto Parts used the SAME p/ns 2540 and 2541 but WITHOUT the preceding letters as listed below, THEIR computer listings showed NO SUCH KIT for my truck, the following came from

What I have found with MOST of my local parts stores they have men or women with no or very little vehicle knowledge or they can't look up anything UNLESS they go through ALL the screens, AND the YEAR I give 1965 almost automatically get's you a well we don't go back that far or I doubt we can get that, so what I have learned to do which may help you is I start by asking do you carry BENDIX / DORMAN / RAYBESTOS / CENTRIC / WAGNER brake parts, THEN if they carry one or more of these then I give them the p/n.
