Southwest annual get together

Post by Uncle Skip »

Time to start planning the annual get together.
Maybe its time someone else put it on because we always have it here in Houston.
We get a great turnout, but it's way to far for some folks that I'd like to meet.
How about a neutral site like Lake Sommerville or Bastrop.
Or ??????
Calvert would be pretty close for everyone.
Any suggestions?
Feel free to jump in here any time.
Tio Skip :D
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?

I think Central Texas is the ideal place. Smithville is thirteen miles east of Bastrop and has a great park right on Hwy. 71. It is easy to access from either direction. There is plenty of shade and tables for picnicking. Smithville is in the heart of the Magapolis of Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Just let me know of any needs that you may have and I am sure we can meet them. I belong to the Chamber here and also on the city zoning committee so I can get just about any thing we may need.

We are more than happy to host an Okie or any other states for that matter

I agree! Central TX works that way no one from any major metro area in TX is more than a few hours away.

I am thinking its about time for the Texas bunch to meet up again. Lets try Smithville again. That way we can get some of the ones from north Texas to possibly join us. Let me know what you guys think and give me some input.

Sounds great! When are you coming back? Cruisin' the Coast is early next month, but otherwise, schedule is open.

I will be back by the first of October if not sooner. Why don't we shoot for the last week of October. It will be starting to get a little cooler by then.
