Are you talking the old styleside ie the wrong bed or the newer styleside as in 64-66.

Ya I'm looking for the 64-66 bed. I found a project for sale, pretty stripped, but has a workable bed
I may have to buy it. & swap beds, then try to resell the project. Is that a good idea or should I just keep looking ?

Finding good beds of any length can be a challenge. At least you live in a better climate for sheet metal than some of us. If the project is cheap enough, I'd flip it after swapping the beds if you have room. It may take a while to re-sell the donor truck.

Took me about a year & a half to find mine. I wanted one that had no rust in the bed floor because I didn't have the time or space to fab in another floor. There are several out there that are rusted in the front or have been "repaired" with a 6" piece of diamond plate across the front. If that doesn't bother you or if you have the time/skills to repair it, keep searching on craigslist, ebay, word of mouth, etc and eventually you'll find something that will work for you. Good luck!

You said you would be willing to trade and add cash to get the bed you want. How does that square with buying the unfinished project? Do you come out even or what? If even go for it and maybe even make a few dollars for your trouble if the flairside box is anygood thery are getting harder to find too.
