61 Flareside rebuild

Post by Shenanigans »

Hey, my name is Matt I'm 22. I live in paradise CA with my 61 Flareside with the 223 strait six. My dad, you might know him as unibody madness, called me one day and told me about an old truck out of Pollock Pines CA, he thought I'd be interested in; low and behold once I took a look at it, I was interested.

The only down fall was the front right side was caved in. But with a little help from a cutting torch and a couple helping hands it was fixed

At first it was an everyday driver, back and forth to school, pulling out poor little hondas out of the mud :rotflmao: you know the fun stuff. It helps when you have the granny low T-98 tranny pullin it.
Then we started to take the front clip off to paint which was only covered in primer because eventually the whole body came of the frame to be cleaned, sanded, and painted

Sadly I moved down to sac and stopped working on it so I sat and collected leaves for a while and because of that I seem to be missing many photos but I will have more to come as I progress. To catch up to date, at the moment im drilling out tack welds to remove the front body mounts due to a little bit of cancer and like I said more pics to come.Bolt.gif
