Slick Stock dates & location

The dates for Slick Stock 5 are Wednesday Aug 15th 2012 thru Saturday Aug 18th 2012.
Most Slicksters leave Slick Stock on Sunday morning. (The 19th)
However, some will arrive on Monday August 13th 'cuz they can't wait any longer.
The host hotel will book aditional days for the guaranteed rate.

Call 816-464-2345 and ask for Reservations.

Tell them you are booking for Slick Stock or Slick 60s
Our guarinteed room rate is $75 a night.

our information is in their system so it should be an easy way to reserve a room

That's the place! We will have the parking lot on the right side, plus our rooms will face the lot. We can watch the trucks plus see who is sleeping in the lot at 2AM.... LOL

Oh, 5 or 6 miles. I understand it is an outstanding place... :shock:

WHY would you want to go to Hooters? the food is terrible!

Of more interest to me is the news that the Turn 2 Casino is now open at Kansas Speedway!
Must be an age thing!, or the simple reality that my traveling partner would more readily accept a trip to the casino, than to Hooters.
She has already stated she will not return to the local Harrah's, so this opens another option.

you don't have to enter anything! just show up (with or without your truck) and be prepared to have a blast!

You're "entered" as soon as you drive on the property :lol:

Think they do ask you to register when you arrive as they have "goodie bags" and info on what's going on.
If you haven't been, this is the most laid back, unstructured event you've ever seen. No pressure to do anything you don't want to. Most of the time is spent just enjoying old friends, making new one's and talking slicks. Want to go take a nap, go take it. Go on a cruise -- go!
What I found amazing at my first one (last year in Altoona) was that when people decided to go to bed, they just left everything (chairs, coolers etc.) in the parking lot (under the pop-ups) and it was still there the next morning (sometimes with more ice and beverages than when you left it :-)

SlickStock is definitely not a "car/truck show" unless there is a car/truck show locally that we cruise to and join like in Altoona 2010. It's a truck gathering/family reunion of really nice people, all with various degrees of Slick-I-tus!!!

Actually, no slick is even required! Lots of us show up without trucks due to them being unfinished.

im gonna try my hardest to make it since its only 3 hours from my home. i doubt ill be able to make it more then the last day or two. im hoping to have my truck road trip worthy by then. my 292 is pretty tired
