turn indicator- metal vs. plastic instrument panel

had several questions on how to change the 2 indicators in the metal panel to the 1 in the plastic panel.
(or the reverse)
it is very simple here is the factory wiring

take the 2 indicator lights out and plug in the one bulb socket

yes for the 2 you would pull that out and run single wire bulbs.

excellent. thanks.
any ideas on what to use to "isolate" the turn signal bulbs and high beam bulb? as in, the factory had some small pieces of cardboard tubing between the bulbs and lenses so the lights didn't "bleed" into the gauges.
