body side trim

the side trim on the box of my 64 is toast, and i need new ones. does anyone know if the repop trim designed for 65-66 trucks from lmc will work on a 64, are the sizes and details the same :burp:

The trim is different in cross-section and width, as well as overall length (hood).
Will it work, yes, but will require elimination of original hood emblems and additional mounting holes and hardware.

my 64 trim looked horrible, all the chrome was peeling off the mouldings. took them off and removed the rest of the chrome and polished out the aluminum, the look almost new

I believe the original moldings are anodized aluminum; either way, that would work (although chrome removal from aluminum could be fun) :twisted: , but be prepared to polish often! Or find a workable clear coat.
