65 f250 brake conversion

Im finding a bunch of info on f100 disc brake conversions but i cant seem to find anything about the f250s

so I have a 1965 f-250 camper special 2x4 and was just wondering what donor truck i need to get the brakes off to keep the 8 lug pattern.

I got I-beams, dual piston calipers.rotors and master cylinder from a 73 F250.
I got a combination valve from a 75 F250 and a sway bar from a 78 F250.
I used the radius arms from my 66 because they are forged and not stamped.
I did the same swap on a 65 when I was in high school about 1980
If it cain't be fixed with a sledge hammer it must be an electrical problem!

thanks blackwater, Im in highschool now and this is my first brake swap so all help is appreciated:)

do you know what other years I can get the calipers/rotors from? there are not too many junk yards around my area so i'm struggling to find the parts. I'm gonna look on ebay to see what I can find.

Doing the same swap on my 66 F250. Most will recommend getting a donor f250 front disc truck up through 1979 in order to get all the suspension and power steering parts at once. Realize that if your truck is a manual steering truck, there are some differences in the steering column and pitman arm between the two.

Let folks know where you're located, might be somebody nearby with parts you need.

First year of F250, F350 disc brake option was 1968; they became standard in 1973. That's a pretty wide range to check. Only problem is that twin beams utilized different beams in 1965 (only), so you are likely faced with utilizing the '65 kingpins, or going with the donor beams and all. Disc brake spindles remained the same from 1968 to early 1971. After that, easiest swap is again beams and all. Truck is better than 50 years old, so it is not unusual to find 1965's with the '66-up beams already in place. If that proves true, you can easily swap for '68/71 from spindles out.
