I'm pretty sure the dates will be shuffled to put 40 guys to work for Pat at his convenience. LMAO!

I figured he would have us helping get ground ready to plant, fixing water lines and making everyone eat every meal at his son's new eatery.

Steve, sounds like a good plan to me! I noticed several drivers practicing the plowing at SS6, and I hear Exit 14 is up for a Zagat award. Personally, however, I spent enough time fixing leaks at Altoona!

I've been checking in from time to time for several years now. Never could make it from N. CA for SS events. We are now living in the Tulsa area and look forward to attending our first SlickStock. Are they only held every 2 years; the next event is in 2016? That's a long time from now. Are there events any of you attend where we can come out and meet a few of you? Please advise. Gus

We have Tulsa people who make it down to the D/FW area for Pate Swap Meet the last weekend of April each year. It has become our "Slickstock South", and we'd be glad to see you there!
We also have members in your area who attend the Last Run in Arkansas City the last weekend in September. Just be sure you pronounce the name "Ar-Kansas" while on that side of the river of the same name

Great. I will start adding the dates to my calendar. I've been looking for a good swap meet. Thanks Paul.

Ditto on the looking for a good swap meet, parts houses etc.

I'm also interested if anyone comes across part's vehicles in splitting the cost of recovery, and strip down.

I'm in East DFW area.

For what it's worth, here in my town we have an old Classic Auto Parts house. It used to be a Napa for years until the guy got tired of the franchise fees, and reverted to a private owned shack.

He's one of the old school parts houses that has his own brake lathes, bearing press, etc. Hand assembly of almost anything mechanical. And he's been known to build a motor or two.

If anyone is ever looking for something that may be NOS, rare or vintage parts I'm glad to swing in and see if he has it.
