Hello to all!
I just discovered this board and am happy to see that you guys have amazed such a wealth of info and seem to have such a good online community!
A friend of my father's recently past away, leaving him an old farm truck... My dad has too many projects so he decided to pass it along to me. I went to look at it for the first time this weekend (down in south Louisiana). Turns out, it's a 1966 Ford F100 Custom Cab 2wd, swb. It has a 352 V8, a 3spd (was on colum but converted to floor) AM radio, leather dash pad, heater. Looks like the front brakes were converted to discs and the Carter 4bbl was replaced with an Edlebrock 600cfm carb. She has some minor rust in the rain channels and a few dings here and there but is otherwise in pretty good shape for a 43 year old farm hauler.
I'm out in Rowlett, east of Dallas, and I was wondering if any of you guys near the DFW area ever get together to oogle each other's trucks or help one another with "projects". Looking forward to talking to all of you down the road!
Mark

We have what a lot of us are call a Mini Slick Stock each year. It's at the Texas Motor Speedway. It is the PateSwapMeet. We have a big group this year a total of 15 spaces and doesn't include the other memebers that have spaces.
Here's a link to a recent post about it. http://fordtruk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7875&highlight=pate
Oh and welcome

Hey thanks alot for the hellos and the info on the meet! My son and I are definitely planning on attending. (He doesn't know it yet but this truck is gonna be his first car.)
Unfortunately the truck is still in Louisiana for another month or so. No pics at this time. My dad wanted to take care of a few mechanical issues before giving it up. I expect we will go pick her up in April for my son's 15th birthday.

Well, she is finally here. Took alot longer to get it due to an extremely heavy workload. I had wanted to have the truck in Texas and ready for Slickstock, but couldn't get it done. Work has finally eased up and now it's here. Please take a look and tell me what you all think. I made another post a little while ago in the Truck Talk forum. http://fordtruk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11595 Hope to talk to you all again soon (and more frequently now!)
