one year, 2 weeks

A year from today we will be loading trucks, and getting ready for the trip to Slick Stock 4 in two weeks. Trying to get all the tools and parts for the trip. Hoping that we have carb mechanics in the group to get us all there. Darrell should make it all the way without a breakdown this time. LOL

But atleast I will have the Intenational Carb Rebuilding Team to help me get there. yea I am looking forward to next year already. Robbin and I drive by the Hotel regularly to look it over and see how we will be set up next Year...................Darrell

Kid, how far is Ankeny from Knoxville? Maybe we could caravan the Slicks to Knoxville & take
in the sprint car races.

Knoxville is about 35 Miles from Altoona and I can put a trip to the Sprint car races in the info packet.............Kid

The Sprints would be neat to go to. I used to race circle tracks in the early 60s, but haven't been to one (even as a spectator) since about 1970.

If you've never been to a sprint race in Knoxville you are in for a treat. k'ville is the sprint mecca.
My cousins used to take me there whenever I would visit. It helped to mold my hot-rod obsessions.
Would be a great addition to the Slickstock activities . If we planned a big caravan of Slicks, maybe the track
would work us a deal on attendance as a group.
