hi all just checking in and doing an intro
dave here i live in austin i have a 62 short uni
its all original for now,223 3spd
plans call for a camaro clip and a caddy mill
i know this is a blue oval site so i know the generals stuff in a ford is a no no but its what i have and thats what im gonna use

Welcome to Slick 60s.
Some won't like the Caddy Mill here, still - it's old school hot rodding though (I do understand this). I'd keep the straight axle myself but I am partial. BTW, straight axle with Mono leafs, and a disc conversion are kick ass, and require no measuring, cutting, and welding - then you also have the drop axle option.

BTW: I think Austin is a great city (at least to visit). I don't know how it is to live there. My teenager has attended some classes at UT Austin for the past two summers so we had an excuse to drive down and spend a long weekend. Great food, great music, and friendly people. Again welcome.

welcome aboard
down in lake jackson, tx. one of the black sheep w/brandx motor. my son in san marcos, deerlease near austin. kept straight axle for now. have mustang 2 and camaro clip, down the road maybe. would definitely like to have power steering and disc brakes. kicking around installing bbc next. can`t please everybody, please yourself!
