SlickStock 08, "Goin' to Kansas City" will be held on August 15, 16 & 17, 2008
Oh yes, there will be Bar-B-Que. Kansas City style. And a trip is planned to the Ford Assembly Plant where many of our trucks were assembled. A special surprise for each of you and... stay tuned. same Slick time... same Slick channel...

Come on guys, it takes longer for me to go to the 7-11 than it does for you guys to go to Slick Stock.
Seriously, its a 5-1/2 hour drive to get to Oklahoma from here. But I ain't skeered. See you there.

I hope I can make it. I have never been before just wondering how many trucks do you usually have attend. That truck plant would be cool to see also. My father works at the Kentucky truck plant where they make F-250-550 super duty trucks and both of my grandfathers retired from the Louisville assembly plant where they make explorers and sport tracs. So Ford literally is in my blood. Cant wait till slick-stock sounds awesome.

I'm looking forward to this. I drove to KC last summer in my Jeep. Left Houston at 5:30 a.m. Had breakfast in Texas, lunch in Oklahoma, and dinner in Olathe, Kansas. Almost exactly 12 hr. drive.

Might be a good time to start thinking about an a/c unit too, since the truck is already in pieces. That's a long, hot drive without one.

If Doug can make it from calif. to york, I can make it to KC. Like Doug, Lyman and JC might not have the truck. I would if we had a caravan. Haven't mapquested KC to see how far it really is. I started a spare change jug to pay for the trip, woo hoo I think I got about 4 bucks!!

It's 1800 miles for me one way and the Mrs. is totally on board. We are making that our 08 family vacation with the motorhome. Please don't be offended when I trailer the slick. The buckets just won't hold us and the kids

Ice, you can start the convoy, pick-up Mark, and a number of hours later, get to JC's, Hopefully I will have my unit going by then. Looking forward to it.

Those little Turbojet engines are actually designed for radio control model aircraft, they are about $2800 apiece or more. Very cool though.
