1965 Yellow F-100 stepside

Post by Alex trk »

This truck has had a very good run this year at shows, "Best of Show" at the California North/South F-100 show, Top 5 pick at the West F-100 Nationals, Cover truck on the April/09 Custom Classic Truck magazine.
Truck took several years to build... has a 1996 EFI 460 engine with C6 trans, Independent front suspension, & 4bar rear with 9" rear-end, Willwood 13"& 14" disc brakes on front and back. plus much more. All completed in my garage with help from some very tatented friends. It also drives as good as it looks...
This truck was "Best of Show" at the California North-South F-100 Truck show, Top 5 truck at the West F-100 Nationals in 2009, & Cover truck on the April/09 Custom Classic Truck magazine. this is a great truck to drive and a real eye catcher.

Welcome to the club Alex from West Virginia. Are you from Cali or did you travel to the show? How about some pics of your truck?

Welcome. Maybe it's just me or maybe I'm in a bad mood this morning because it's raining again...BUT, usually new members introduce themselves in their first post and tell the members here a little about themselves and their trucks. The "bragging" usually comes later.

I'm sure you have a nice truck and I'm sure we all look forward to seeing pictures. Members of this site are a great bunch and we are truly a community. Most members build and work on their trucks themselves (usually with the advice and encouragement of fellow "slicksters").
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

:welcome: From Indiana.

Please share some pics and build details of your truck.

Technically, Ford called trucks like yours Flaresides. I'm not being picky, just pointing out the fact, friend! ss_pokes2.gif

Facts are a lot of what this site is about. Plenty of fun-poking and idea sharing as well.

I own a '62 SB Uni, but I really like the Flaresides!

welcome.gif from western Colorado.

The easiest way to post pics is to put them in your album and then copy the BBC code when you click on the title of your picture ([albumimg]picture number[/albumimg]) and paste it in your post.

It took me a while to figure it out. If your pics don't upload they are probably too big.

This must be your truck by the license plate.

If this is yours, it is a great looking truck. I saw it at the F-1oo Western Nationals in California. Lots of custom mods and well done.

Nice truck! I really like the flames. I was thinking of having some similar ones done on my blue truck, but they would be white with red tips/highlights.
