i picked this truck for puttin up a small deck, it was a running somewhat driving truck, the brakes were shot and the front cab supports are shot, so when you hit the brakes the cab would lock onto the steering and freeze it up untill you let off, scary ride at times, , i found a beautiful replacement cab in a town 30 mile north of me from a fellow that turned me onto this site, as soon as i have the extra 500 dollars i;ll be going to get it, it will save me a whole lotta time and labor than fixing mine, can't wait to post more as i get along with this ride

Welcome from Georgia,

Looks like a real good starting point for a ride. I can't say that I am wild about your frame choice but after all it is your truck. You will find we have all types here from frame draggers to up in the air 4X4s. But we all have our love of Slicks.

yea i understand about the frame, i already had the frame laying around, so thats why i used it , i'm on a very limited budget ,,the backbone maybe bowtie but the engine will be all oval, lookin for a 390 to build hopefully with a 4 speed, i had deal on a 76 highboy frame but the ole boy backed out on me,

Hey I understand about using what you got. You mentioned buying another Cab I can't tell a lot from the pics but some here have started with worse and brought them back to great. Cab mounts, corners, and other parts are available

yea the cab aint real bad , i wouldnt scrap it by no means but adding up the cost of panels, new windshield, not to mention time, the cab i found is really nice , came from colorado, its real solid, time alone would save me a bundle, i,ve been back and fourth on it but think its my best plan :?:

Like the ride. And I like the cost quotes under the pics. 1 deck and 1 nut total. It will add up but don't use anymore nuts.
