Removing Knobs

ive got bout all the knobs off but on the air and choke cables how do you get those off the shaft.i need to get them off so i can ship them.

Neither one of those do the handles come off on.
you have to detach the cable (opposite) end from the carb/air door and ship the whole cable with the knob

theres a nut on the back side of the dash that holds them on.

yea i got those knobs off but those last three with the cables i couldnt remove them.why did they make those knobs not removeable when the repro doesnt come with knobs?

I doubt "Henry" thought about re-pop parts, but back in the day because FoMoCo sold cables with knobs already on them.

FoMoCo also sold virgin knobs. We used to put Galaxie knobs on Falcons & Trucks which at best only had a white insert. Galaxy had brite inserts. OHHhh WEell :roll:

if you get the metal rod hot the knob will come off, then you can put a new one on.
