Stella is Sold

Post by Vinnie »

Well, I have to wipe my eyes a little as I write this, but Stella sold today to a nice couple in Arizona. I can't think of a nicer place for her to live. My understanding is that he has seen our Slick site, but I'm not sure he has joined yet, I'm sure he will. If he has not, I'll let him know what a great bunch you all are.

I'll swing by and visit you now and then, I really think the world of this great group and our beloved Slicks.

I'll never forget SS04 and the people I got to meet. I know I'm meeting up with Mark and Johnny this summer on a vacation to Canada and if you are ever in the Seattle area, my home is yours.

Comet, we will have to continue our annual dinner, I belive it's your turn this year.

Hey Vinnie, mixed emotions I'm sure. But you have a bigger plan. The AZ sun will be good for Stella. And yes, you are right. It's our turn! Can't wait. Maybe mine will be rolling then!

Well Vinnie, I know how important it was for you for Stella to go to a good home. I tried my best to keep her in the family. I was probably hours from my buddy giving the OK. However, what was meant to be happened. Hard to believe how a little flamed truck can start so many friendships. Keep in touch my friend, I know that I will! 8)

Sad regrets my freind. Hope you won't be a stranger. Stella was and is a beautifull truck. Far better than when first built. She went from average everyday work truck to a thing of beauty.

Vinnie, It was great to meet you at SS/04. Stay in touch... who knows, one day you may be driving down the street and see a Stella just waiting for you to love her...
Take care.

That's gotta be a bummer, I'd have a real hard time selling that if I owned it...but I'm just that way. I get too attached to vehicles.

Glad it went to a good owner. :thumright:

Oinklette and I were up in Kenmore this past saturday in Sirius (my '62). Next time we're up that way I might give you a pm and stop by. Dunno though, we're both still very shy about meeting people in person.

Stella was one of the first slicks i saw on the net when i did a search just to see what info. and parts source was out there. Hate to see her go, but maybe she will show up on here with the new and im sure proud owner. Just because you sold her dont mean you cant keep in touch.
