used starters, alternators, compressors and distributor

Hello
I was given a few used starters, alternators, compressors w/brackets, loose pulleys and an Autolite distributor by a fellow Ford nut coworker. I'm not sure what year trucks they fit. He thought maybe we or someone we knew could use them as cores. My husband chunked a couple of them saying they were useless, but I wondered if they are usable or rebuildable? I think we are going to keep the compressor brackets and maybe the pulleys, but I don't know about the rest.
I may make a list of what they are and get part numbers off of them.

Mainly, should I keep this stuff or throw it?

Keep it all, throw it in the bed and bring to SS for the givaway, if someone needs it, they will recognize it. I just hate to throw away something somebody can make use of.
