Violent Crash at Bathurst 1971

Post by f100cowboy »

It is hard to believe that Bill Brown survived this horrific crash. Several items to watch for during the video;
1. the track worker who scrambles and claws himself out of the way narrowly misses being flattened
2. where Bill's head is related to the guard rail as the car violently rolls
3. the safety truck that arrives is a Slick

I remember watching that race!, hard to believe he walked away!. The car it self was put on display at the Ford dealership in Parramatta, not far from where I grew up in Toongabbie, we all went down to see it, they had a sign saying here`s proof of Ford`s quality and safety :shock:

nice long shot of the crash truck too! 8)
