Painting my wheels

Post by DukeRoche »

This may be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. When sanding and repainting your wheels, is it recomended to paint the inside that the tire wraps around? Never been in the situation before so I thought I'd ask. Any help would rule.

I would think not, the area where the bead seats should be clean and if you did that is would probably come off the first time you took the tires off the rim. Any deviations in the bead seat area could cause a slow leak that would drive you crazy as well.

rims are painted from factory better to paint than let rust. if tire area is painted no need to repaint. but if you sand blast the whole rim paint the whole rim.
