let me know if you are going and where along the route shown in the link you are.theres a big red stripe on the map at the bottom of the page so you can look without reading thru all the driving directions.
http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&un=m&cl=EN&ct=NA&rsres=1&1ffi=&1l=&1g=&1pl=&1v=&1n=&2ffi=&2l=&2g=&2pl=&2v=&2n=&1pn=&1a=&1c=&1s=&1z=99676&2pn=&2a=&2c=kansas+city&2s=MO&2z=&r=f

Hope you can make it, seriously Ice, Would be a blast to have ya there.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Brian, according to mapquest, I live at exactly the half way point for you to KC. I am only about 60 miles of your route. Try Talkeetna to Hinton, Alberta, Canada. In perspective, I am about a 9 hour drive to John's place. I am right on the edge of the Rockies. When you are heading South on the Alaska highway, go down Hwy 40 at Grande Prairie and I am 3 hours South of there. We would love to convoy with you and Mrs. Ice.

not that it will stay the same but what is the current price for gas there now?
last time it was 50-65 cents per liter or litre, depending on location.cheaper in the big towns, more expensive the further we went.

As of today, regular unleaded 87 octane is 90 cents CDN per litre. That equates to about $2.75 US per gal

Start saving my friend
