That is incredible. I wonder how much horse power it would take to push a slick at that speed?
Lets see two 460's one front and one in the bed, putting out 800 HP a piece. Probably not enough. Better find something a little more aerodynamic.

Awesome Bill from Dawsonville was cruising Talladega at 212.809 back in 1987. That's on a 2.5 mile oval. Imagine what they could do with todays cars on a 5 mile straight minus the restrictor plates.

All due respect to Bill but I don't think NASCARs American engine would last on that track. Can you imagine the RPMs on the pushrod motor being held that long? They blow right and left in Michigan on those long straights.

Yeah, I knew it had to have overdrive. I thought it would be lower than that though. The tire size factual or your guess?
