Repairing the mistake I made last weekend.
Image
Cut hump out that was too big.
Image
Started by tack welding this piece in place.
Image
Welded and worked the metal to shape with my hammer while it was hot from welding.
Image
Sprayed it heavy with undercoat.
It ain't the prettiest but will do. It gets covered with the fender anyhow.

Drivers floor in. Need to do more welding up under but at least it's in. Then it's on to the firewall to prep it for a splash of red. That's next weeks project.

Always wanted a slick 4x4. Seems I should have shopped around though. But I'll just pull up my britches and make it a road worthy daily driver. I can't wait to try it out next winter. It should make my 89 4x4 look like a city boy.

Well, We removed the gas tank and replaced the rear cab mounts and then replaced the drivers door also.
Today I moved on to the firewall. There was a small rust hole on the lip under the master cylinder area. It turned into a bigger hole after a little digging. I cut it out and repaired it.

I had better got to moving Wyatt, your going to be so far ahead of me that I will never catch up. I haven't got anything done since last Thursday. I am on the Jamboree commette here in Smithville and we had the Jamboree this weekend. I have been going about 17 hours a day since Friday morning. I am the chair person for the truck show we had Saturday morning. I brought in 35 18 wheeler trucks from my truck club. We also had a few local truck including one 54 F100 Panel truck. We had one visitor all the way from Michigan driving a mid 50s bubble cab White and puling a 46 moving van trailer converted to a travel trailer. I will post some pictures later.

I understand how he gets so much work accomplished...

...Wyatt is the "Tom Sawyer" of Slicks. Thus far, we've seen his son, his brother, his grandson, and NOW his GRANDDAUGHTER!!! Man, when we all get to his picnic in May he's likely to hand us all paintbrushes so we can whitewash his fence ;-)

...I'm just sayin'
