FHR,

:welcome: to the site!
That looks like a sweet '64 Merc, and it appears you're well on your way to a fine ride! :thumright:
I bet that '60 Merc will also be sweet.... I hope you have the grill for it, if not, it might be tough to locate a good one.

I know a guy who has wanted a 60 Merc flareside for years. it was his first truck. A local boneyard had a chrome '60 Merc grille hanging on it's wall for years. By the time I decided I'd better go grab it, it was gone.

I am guessing you are going for a gasser look - Killer!
Should look great with a short flareside.
Would like to do one myself one of these days - would do mine with a fridge though.

okay, I am considerably confuzzled, how on earth did you get it to ride THAT HIGH without lift blocks and such?

My axle has a whole 2 inches to the bump stop.....

And what the HE11 is going on on the side of that olds??? lol, it looks like a oil filter with a dent smashed in the side to clear.....Another oil filter????

the front springs have a 5" re-arch along with a couple of extra leaves added, as for the Olds, that has been a bit of a bit of a head scratcher around the shop...
