i like lots of stuff he's done, but i like my music detached from the current political climate. as far as i know, rush has never had a political song in their career. kinda why i like that little band from "down under" as well.
(the preceding comment is purely opinion and not to be taken personally...or seriously for that matter).

Don't care for Neil Young's politics - always liked his music.
Like Rush too - Triumph is another band that is pretty good. I don't listen to many newer bands though. I listen to mostly the same stuff I did in the 70s - rock and country. I have made a few exceptions - U2 for example - Edge is a kick ass guitar player. Funny thing is - I just heard on the radio about an hour ago - Bono just turned 50. Makes him about a year younger than me is all, lol.
May just have to cough up $25 and get a Gregg Allman ticket.

I saw them back in '90 I think, Roll the Bones album tour. One of the few concerts I've been to where the performers actually sounded as good or better than their albums.3ontree66 wrote:They put on the best concerts you'll ever see.

??? I didn't think Neil Young had any politics.. Must be an American thing. I like several Neil Young tunes, my favourite being "Long may you run" about a '51 Pontiac Hearse he used to drive... whats political about that??

It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..
I still got RUSH's first album and it's still in mint condition. Working Man my favorite RUSH tune.
Nickelback Rocks, I don't care what anybody says.
While were on the subject of Canadian bands, who can forget Johnny's all time favorite.....Loverboy.
