ran across this sound check "vid" on the 'tube and thought i'd share. alex lifeson is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time.

You got that right...Rush is one of my favorites for sure. Neal Peart is a drum god.

Saw them a couple of times in the mid 80's. They put on the best concerts you'll ever see. Even now, they still kick a$$. Oh and they're Canadian made. :rocker: :woohoo:

yes, one of the only reasons i tolerate my fair neighbors from the north. lol j/k. (i like a good bonspiel as well).
they started to lose me on "signals", and by "grace under pressure" i was hopelessly lost.
i still worship at the alter of every thing "moving pictures" and prior.

Funny how that works My wife HATES them. I personally cannot STAND Nickleback. Canadian law requires radio stations to play Canadian bands to death.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

just thinkin' out loud. lol
i like lots of stuff he's done, but i like my music detached from the current political climate. as far as i know, rush has never had a political song in their career. kinda why i like that little band from "down under" as well.

Don't care for Neil Young's politics - always liked his music.
Like Rush too - Triumph is another band that is pretty good. I don't listen to many newer bands though. I listen to mostly the same stuff I did in the 70s - rock and country. I have made a few exceptions - U2 for example - Edge is a kick ass guitar player. Funny thing is - I just heard on the radio about an hour ago - Bono just turned 50. Makes him about a year younger than me is all, lol.
May just have to cough up $25 and get a Gregg Allman ticket.
1964 F 100 - I am going to do "something" with it.......

I saw them back in '90 I think, Roll the Bones album tour. One of the few concerts I've been to where the performers actually sounded as good or better than their albums.

I like Rush but wouldn't call them one of my favorites. Also like Neil Young but hate his politics. Now Ted Nugent's politics on the other hand, those I like!

??? I didn't think Neil Young had any politics.. Must be an American thing. I like several Neil Young tunes, my favourite being "Long may you run" about a '51 Pontiac Hearse he used to drive... whats political about that?? :dontknow:

I still got RUSH's first album and it's still in mint condition. Working Man my favorite RUSH tune.

Nickelback Rocks, I don't care what anybody says.

While were on the subject of Canadian bands, who can forget Johnny's all time favorite.....Loverboy.
