Wish me sucess in my new career.

Post by Greg D »

Well after waiting a week and a half after accepting the new job I finally started training classes yesterday. My new boss is a great guy, and very commited to making sure I fully understand what need to know for sucess, teaching is one on one with him. I was studying yesterday on company attitude as far as customer care goes. If what we do won't actually benefit the customer then we are supposed make them fully aware of that unlike alot of places where it is all about "Close the deal no matter what!". We are in mortgages, investments, auto, home and life ins. It is really a whole financial picture rather than just financing homes, the company is Citywide Financial. Lol, I have alot more to learn!

Speaking of specialty car/truck insurance. We recently switched over to State Farm, one of the reasons being is they insure my 85 GT for a "stated" and or appraised value rather than just what a dealer used car book would state (which isn't much trust me). The rate on the car for full coverage and up to $11000 replacement doesn't even cost much, they figure it is only driven in the best of conditions and is cared for well. Trust me not all car insurance companies do this, Geico gave me crap about putting full coverage on it at all. They definately weren't being cooperative on what the car is worth. It hasn't been out of the garage since a couple days after it got home, lol. Anyway, just a little food for thought for everyone. They do want some documentation, pics of the vehicle, receipts if modified or restored, professional appraisal, etc. but will definately cover your specialty vehicle for the right for you. I don't know anything about the auto insurance that we offer yet, I need to get trained and licensed for it first.
