Does look like the "famous" Fred-mobile. That's a nice little truck. I really want to copy his T-5 install behind my 223 in Little Red. Hope he's still around to offer advice.

Wow, selling it and moving to Asia? there is a story to be told there....

A military friend of mine once said a lot of retired old school soldiers would retire to places they had been stationed..open up a bar...

A friend of mine has a daughter in Japan he visits...

I guess it happens..just seems incredible when you think about it.

Awesome truck , that thing would be almost too easy to make perfect. I also love the motor tranny combo on it...

Yes Johnny, you are right...that is parked in front of my house. Fred is preparing to move to maybe the Philippines but not sure exactly when.

I went this last weekend and picked it up. Very nice little truck. 223 I6 with a T-5 behind it. I was doing 70 on the highway and she was barely turning 2K in 5th gear. It was originally Rangoon Red when it was born. I have always wanted a Uni SWB and now I do.

I hope Fred is not too sore...I took the shell off and I love the look.

Thanks guys...

Believe he met a lady from the Philippines and he was planning a trip sometime soon after Slick Stock. He was considering moving over there if he liked it. Or, maybe Doug is storing it for him while he's gone. He could help us out a little with some details.

Congrats on picking up his uni, so that means he is liquidating everything and moving overseas? Does this mean the Ranger is up for sale?

To All,

Still hanging here for a while yet. Lots of things still up in the air yet as far as my situation goes. Just wanted to position myself to do what may or may not come to be, and wanted to be sure my pickup stayed in the "Family" so to speak. I will continue to check in here. Thanks for all the kind words.
