I have all my plans done for the tilt forward hood. Is there any interest in this? I finally found somebody that will waterjet the parts for me. If there is enough interested, I will build at least 10 sets.
Here are pics for the ones who have not seen this.
This is fully adjustable so that you can line up the gap at the back of the hood and adjust the sides in to line up with the cowl.
Let me know what you think.

I've seen it too, very SLICK. So Keith, what price range are we talking here?
I'm very interested, if I can only afford one.

I am looking at $650 + shipping. I can get them powdercoated for an additional $65 in several different colors(even orange for Anthony)
I haven't checked on shipping costs but I am hoping that I can get them in a large, if it fits it ships, post office box. I am not using the cross brace that I have in mine as I don't feel like it is needed. I am going to use stronger shocks on these than I did on mine to keep the hood straight and hold it up better. The waterjet cutter will make some of the pieces but I still need to assemble them and make other parts after he is done.
I will need to get at least 5 deposits before I start to make parts. The waterjet cutter needs about 3-4 weeks to get the programming done and make the parts. The rest of the parts, I should be able to get within a week. I will need about 1 week after the cutting to get everything else made.
I still need to make up installation instructions. This won't be very hard to install but it will be at least a 2 person job.
Tools needed will be: 1/4" drill bit, 3/8" drill bit and a 3/4" hole saw, drill and wrenches.

I really like the setup you designed Kevin, simple, beautiful, inventive.
To anyone else who wasn't at SS, I have seen this up close and examined it - VERY well engineered and is high end professional build show quality stuff.
1964 F 100 - I am going to do "something" with it.......

I haven't checked into doing chrome yet. I was wanting to see how many are interested before I get too far. I will check on it. Chrome prices here can vary a lot, depending on the mood of the people when you take it in for pricing.
I will let you know on a deposit.

It looks like I have 2 commited that want a hood kit and a couple more that probably do. I am going to go ahead and get the waterjet cutter started this week on his parts so I can get this going.
If anybody has anymore questions let me know.

Glad you sent me a message. Since my house fire in September and with my truck thankfully in storage I have been away from the site for a while. Was checking my e-mail and saw I had a message on Slick 60's. This kit will be the incentive to get me back to work on the truck. My new house should be finished sometime in June then its time to get Ol'blue out of storage(prison) and get to work. When your ready for the money just let me know.

Here is an update.
I have the rest of the parts coming in this week. I am going to have the waterjet cutter start cutting the remaining kits this week. They should be ready to ship shortly after he gets these done. I have some of the parts all welded up but need his parts to finish.
The first one is all together and matches up perfectly with the one that I built for my truck.
They should all be ready soon.

Keith: I really want one (and eventally two) of the kits, but the money just isn't available right now. Hopefully by the summer things will be looking a little better from the money situation.

If these 10 kits disappear really quick, I will plan on building more. If they sit around in my garage for the next year, this will be the only 10 that I build.
I will let you know how they are progressing. I have 5 people that have committed for one, so that's a good sign, and I am not even done with them yet.

I think they'll sell. It'll just take some folks (like me ) a little while to get the money together.

Amen
I really would like one as well, but can not justify the expense because of all the other things needed right now
Great product that should be a staple with time
