There's one of those in the museum in Moose Jaw, which is the only one I've ever seen in person. I dig the wheels! A cool piece of automotive history.

So I can safely assume that you are officially no longer interested in my Grand Marquis now that your uni is officially for sale?

Fine by me, as I'll be stripping it for parts for future projects anyway.

Haha, ok, ok. Sorry. I shouldn't be one to talk... I've been looking for a Mustang II, and NO ONE wants those things except to rape them for the front clip. And no, that's not what I want, I want the whole car... like, to drive. Bolt.gif

LOL I ain't even dead yet and the crows are picking my eyes

Greg there have been a few Canadian manufacturers but most of them pre-Depression. I remember Studebaker moved lock, stock and barrel to Canada for their last couple years in operation. And long before Toyota was building in Alabama, in the sixties, Volvo was building all their North American cars in Canada.

Ford and GM have been here from the get go, and Dodge too.
But not many Canadian owned ones , that's for sure. 8)

Ying/Yang again

I just traded some labor for one of these:

Brazilian made VW sports car called a Puma. http://wj2d.100megsdns.com/home.html]VW Puma page I had a hankering for one of these, stripped down to fly-weight with a big honking 2180 and maybe a turbo or something stupid last year but nothing turned up. Sorta glad it worked out that way but one found its way to me. Rough as a cob and as soon as it shows up I can take some pictures of the mess if you would like.

Nice to know you are nearly as sick and twisted as I am Jonny

Steve I have heard of Pumas before, snappy looking little car, look kind of like a Fiat spider without the rust holes ;)

351w, FMX tranny.
I have an Edelbrock 4 bbl intake and a demon carb is on it's way, originally to use on the uni.(which is now for sale)
May just find its way to the Brick now 8)

PO says the FMX was just rebuilt, which is kind of a shame b/c I want to switch it out for an AOD.. but will see when it gets here. :D

My curiousity got the best of me. The Briklin had a 351 2V that put out about 175bhp with 8.1:1 compression. Haven't found any performance specs yet but there is a lot of good info out there.

the '74's had an AMC 360 4bbl and some of the '74's even had T10's, the majority had a 727 chrysler. The 4 speeds are super rare. I would have been OK with the AMC engine too, they can be made into a 401 with no visible signs.
But hey I know my way around 351w's quite well now,, the possiblities are purdy nice see-saw.gif

JC, good purchase! Been a while since I have seen one. If I remember they marketed it as a SAFE vehicle and only came in bright colors. Always thought they were a cool car and liked the fact that most had a Ford engine. Poor man's Pantera?
In the early 80's, some spoiled rich girl in the neighborhood had one that daddy bought for her. She thought she was quite the Diva and the world had to bow at her feet. She was always very rude when you would see her. I parked next to her Briklin one day and decided to have some fun at her expense. I parked my van (with running boards) so close she couldn't get out of those gullwing doors. She had to sit in the car and fume until I left.
If you drove a Ford, you wouldn't need a good wrench!
