Hitch Hiking Slickster

Post by blackagatha »

So, Hypothetically,

if a Slickster was to embark on a down N dirty USA tour via hitch hiking, how many of the members here could be called upon if trouble arose, or for the last 30 miles into town, or a couch to crash on for a night when he came into town?

Or even to make connections down the road with Trusted people with cool trucks, rather than pure strangers.

I'm not actually planning such an adventure, but feeling out the possibility of such a thing. It would be an epic experience, assuming I didnt get killed.

The nation wide network here is just too cool to ignore for such an adventure as that.

If you venture through S.E. Idaho near Yellowstone National Park or Jackson Hole Wyo. I'll leave the light on. I have a car hauler trailer and a new shop to get any broken down slicks brought in and repaired.

If you're ever near the Philadelphia area, I'm good for a cheesesteak or two.

I have had a chance to get around the US and meet some of the guys. I can't think of a better experience. And yes I have been rescued out on the road by them too - they not only helped but treated me like a valued guest.

Just remember, you have to be on the wrong side of the road & have your thumb pointing down if ya wanna get a ride down under. Oh, and then you gotta crawl in the drivers side if ya want a ride. Confused yet?

If I was ever going to do that, i'd sure as hell bring a camera. That would be one of the coolest things to do is take photos of that kind of adventure - people, places... Plus you have something heavy to knock the #%$& out of someone if things go south.

If you want a really AWESOME example go read this.

If the link doesn't work type this in the search at HAMB, well worth the time wasted to read it with some awesome pictures. I just skip all the comments from everyone else and scan through until the original poster post his updates.
