Thanks its been a while getting to this point Roger. Colbert is north of Spokane about 10 miles or so. Never been to Corbett I have a son that that lives south of Portland. Thats where I got the wheels that you see in the pics at Beaver Creek auto wrecking. They are 17.5 so not sure I will keep them on it . May be hard finding tires at a reasonable price. Im surprised the ones on there are still holding air.

Hey thanks ras4434. Unfortunatley mine waited a while too. Kids life in general kind of got in the way. So now kids are gone and have more time on my hands so getting back on it. My oldest lives in Oregon City how close are you to that. Have to try and stop by and see you and Rodger if you are close to there. Most of that truck body come out of Roseburg Oregon.

The frame and running gear where DSO out of Seattle so it must have lived and work alot of its life over on the west side of the state. It would be nice if they could talk and tell you their story. From the way the body looked it had done alot of hard work. And rusted away from the inside out.

I actually grew up in Oregon City a "few years ago". I am about 50 minutes south of Oregon City and Roger is probably about the same distance North of OC.

That correct Roger?

:steering: Right, Ross, almost to the minute. Unless you are talking Friday evening during rush hour! Hey, haven't forgotten the pictures, Ross, just haven't had time to take them.

Been wondering. Why is it that our Slicks seem to sit for years after we get them before we do anything to them?

Hey Ross I saw your posts on FTE and through that I took a peek at your 4x4. Looks great should be a nice slick when you get it up an going again. Yeah Roger Ive been stuck in that Portland rush hour traffic before. No fun. No problem with type of traffic around Spokane town. Ross I like Oregon city its a nice little town. You must be down by Eugene now from the time it takes to get to you.

Hey Hijack away. Nice to meet another 4x4er. I saw your post on the pix of slicks. Looks like you got enough work to keep you off the streets and out of trouble. If your 4x4s are as dirty and worn as mine youll have your hands full. I made a comment on the 64 looks like it has some other than Ford front axel. Just a guess mabe a dodge. Anyway wellcome

You might have noticed I do too. I only have 2 thats enough for me. Id probably have more but I have no place to store them. The get together sounds good my older son lives in Oregan City south of PDX so we could make it a double dip trip. Good luck on the rear main rope seal.

I've done a few rope seals a long time ago. The last one I did I replaced the rope with a neoprene seal. It came as a kit if I remember right. Find a Napa store where an "old" guy is still behind the counter he should remember these conversions. I think I had to loosen the main caps then re-torque them. Be a good time to check them and replace if necessary. Not a hard job just messy. Rods too if you are ambitious. Good luck and keep us posted.

Would your meetup be open to non 4X4 slick owners? I own a 4X4 it's a bump not a slick.

Yes that is a retired Rear school Bus Bumper.....

I am going to trim it down a bit more, but thinking of Leaving it on....

In the little bit of driving I have been able to do with it...It is amazing how quick folks tend to move over out of your road....

I love your truck by the way....I hope my Crew is half as nice as that one when I am thru.....
