Post by Alan Mclennan »

Darren, I was just wondering how the door trims were coming along!

Hi Alan , good, thanks for asking, all that's left to do is mount the arm rest and drill the doors for the clip's.
I'm thinking of trying the same thing and make a dash pad but they will only suit slick's with steering wheel on the incorrect side and I will let you know how it goes,

Hi Leeroy,your slick looks great.
The dash pad I will make will be out of fibreglass ,so it could be covered in vinyl or carpet and i will be removerable ,proberly hold it on with door card clips

I have one on the stang that just sits there. The curves of the dash and the glovebox prevent it moving, I'd guess the slicks dash would do the same?

It's a bit hard to see in the pic, but right on the curve of the glovebox next to the radio you can see a little triangle piece thats inserted to make the curves of the dash, I'm sure the slick one would work the same and hopefully holding it all in place.

could use the two heater covers on top of the dash to hold the center down and the two end cover plates to hold the ends down .that will work .

Thanks Alan, she's a good girl but demands time and as always money! Although there's about to be a new kid on the block so it better start shaping up!!

Aircon is the factory mustang 65 a/c box with a coin tray on top. This would actually fit the slick well, but they are bloody big!
66's were black and a bit smaller.
