1963 F700 rams horns

Post by mrgoob »

63 F700 rams horns on a V8. I lost all the id numbers so I don't know which motor was in the truck. It did not have the crossover like on my 292. I want to know if these rams horns will fit my 292. Is there an easy way to tell without me going back to the salvage yard? Thanks.

They will fit your 292 if the mounting holes look to be in a straight line. The Lincoln exhaust has a noticeably staggered pattern and will not fit your 292.

Thanks for the replies.

Iceman-amazing how you always have a picture of anything asked. The exhaust on this F700 looked different. It has a bar between the horns above the center bolt. I accidentally deleted the info I had on this motor but I will get it again and let you know about the pulleys as well. Looked like the inner fenders are the same as my F250 4x4 too-is that right?

All of the ram horn manifolds I've seen that had a bar across them were Lincoln.. I'm not sure when they stopped putting the 368 Lincoln in the big slicks, but most I've seen were 61-63.

Yep, bar between the humps is a Lincoln.
