brake boosters....

Post by *ryno* »

what kind, brand, of booster ,m/c combos are you guys running for power disk brakes on these uni bodies? id like to find one that would use the stock pedal assembly if possible.

looks like cpp makes a unit that will bolt to the fire wall.
anyone have any experience with those?

Not sure if this will help you or not, but my 66 Ranger has a small booster which (as I understand it from the original PO) is the original one.
NAPA website shows it as a 7" diaphragm (part #NBB 5471500) $116.00

I went to a pick and pull and got one from a jeep cherokee. You will have to redrill a few holes but it works well and the linkage adjusted just fine

do you have a dual master on it?
do you the bolt pattern? im assuming its the same as a 61?
id like to find one like you described, so i don't have to run a bracket to mount the booster.

Mine still has the original single pot MC (future project), but any dual MC that will fit the Slicks should work fine. Think the one I bought for another truck was off a 68 Mustang.
