Hey Gang,
I wanted to thank all of you for your help in identifying my engine. It is a boafide 390. I will be sending some pics soon. You gotta love this forum!

Thats good news! I wondered if it may be a 390 with the Thunderbird valve covers and 1968 code on the heads. How did you find out for sure? Did you check the crankshaft?
If you drove a Ford, you wouldn't need a good wrench!
