Why is my grille different than this one.

Either im gonna look like a tool or im gonna learn something real quick. This truck on EGay is advertised as a 1964 F-100. I have never seen this grille before in my life and im wondering if any of you have or know what this is.

Mine is much different but i like this one i think. Is it original ?

It looks more like the grill out of an early Uni .

thats same grill as on my 64, its actually a 63 grill someone put on it, mines not panted, its shiny aluminum

Nope, it's a 62 grille.

that would be a 62 grill. it also has the 62-63 upper valance. as the FORD block letters are close together. they were farther apart in 64.

I think Digeytrucker has one of those 62 grills on his 66 truck. You can see it in the album I think. There is a web page that has a drawing of each year for the ford trucks from I think 57 to the 70s. Anyone know wheres that is at?

I think the 61 and 66 grille's are the best looking out of all of them. Not a fan of the 63 and 64.

Everyone has an obvious opinion on their favorite grilles, but they all really do look different depending on how the rest of the truck looks and whether the grille is chromed or painted. I had likes and dislikes as well, but then along comes someone else's Slick with a different look and it'll change my mind.

My 64 was built with 63 and 64 parts on the assy. line and actually came out with a 63 grille on it so that is what I'm using. I'm glad because I think the 64 grilles just look like the your slick has braces...

Yep, bodyworx, that is a '62 grille and upper valence.
I like the truck to have the right grille for the year, but that is just my little nuance.
The '62 grille is nice in Chrome, it's one of the 2 years ('61 and '62) that actually HAD a chrome grille option, the rest were aluminum when they had a "Bright" grille.

My fave BTW is the '61 grille. has the letters right in it. unique for the slicks.

The 62 & 65 grills are my favorites (in that order). Lol, the Uni presently has a aluminum 64 grill in it, I have a 62 grill that will be going in it and another one that is going into the 64 short.

I was wrong, I said it was a 63, yet it is a 62, I knew that, was just quizzing y'all

its my favorite as well. for some reason, I get the 62-63s mixed up, I know a 64 a mile away

Last year we brought on a 66 truck from Calif that had a chrome tube grill that had the mouting hardware align with your bolts in the support, the corner pieces for the headlight doors where cut and formed from a original grill and headlight doors where aluminum, have not found any name but if was made done nice could have been aftermarket that was offered in 60's or late 70 maybe ? Had a picture on the old site but could not find it But any way still have it

'61 is my favorite followed by the '65. I guess it's because they were the first of their type and the following years just seemed to change for change's sake.

i like the 64's, but i may be biased, i own two 64's. i like em all but my favorites are the 61's, 64's and the 65's.
