Aftermarket Wheels

Post by kingranch2006 »

Hi Guys

I have been going crazy trying to find a nice set of aftermarket wheels that will fit my 65 F100... I am looking for a 5 spoke TORQ THRUST type wheel.
Do you guys know where I can find any & does anyone know what offset our wheels are??
thanks for all your help!

FYI: They don't make the Torque Thrust wheels in the stock Ford bolt pattern 5/5.5. You may can find some that are similar or you can use adapters from the 5/5.5 to 5/4.5 pattern.

I stand corrected. Must be a new product. Note the estimated ship date: 3/21/2012.
Glad to hear they're coming to the party...late, but better than never.

There are no decent looking aftermarket wheels for an F250. Almost makes me want to change it over to 5 lugs. I'd much rather have a Ford 9" than the Dana 60 too. I would probably go with some 16" Cragar S/S wheels.

gas4blood, what size are your rims, and tires? If they are 8" on back, did you use a different offset?

Torq Thruster

Post by Frank Kelley »

I just got my new Torq Thrusters from discount tire. When they ordered them for me American Racing told them they had the 1 piece wheels 15x7 & 15x8 on 5 on 5.5. Discount charged me 195 for 15x8 and 185 for the 15x7. 2 days later American Racing Wheels called discount and told them they did not have the 5 on 5.5. Discount told them they had to come up with something because I had already payed for them. AR said they could build some costum ones but they would be 2 piece wheels and cost more. Discount ate the extra cost since I had already payed for them.

So the stock wheel is 5x5.5. Is there a required offset for either the front or rear wheels? Or does it not matter with drum/drum brakes?
