There was (is?) a company making fiberglass hoods. The price when I last checked was a cool $600 plus shipping.
Nobody is making repro steel hoods. I wish they would, but chances of that happening are about nil.

Could anyone chime in with a company name? All my google searches are coming up with nothing.DV65CustomCab wrote:There was (is?) a company making fiberglass hoods. The price when I last checked was a cool $600 plus shipping.![]()

That is really not a bad price for a classic without a huge following.
look at the classic mustangs. Fiberglass hoods go for around $450 to $600. The aftermarket for repo parts is huge. You can just about build a 64.5-66 stang from just a roof and B pillars.
I wish I could repair my hood, but it has a tire sized dent in the corner of it. I guess the PO had parked off the road and a car actually ran the hood over while it was on the truck.
