65 F250 Crew step side

Post by slickmainer »

I saw this photo in an F-Series album on the Ford facebook page. Looks so cool. The step bed looks really really good on one.

Nice looking truck. I'm putting a long flareside bed on my 63 crew cab instead of the original "wrong bed" style.
Gregg: Any chance you can post the picture a little smaller? Or provide a link? Thanks.

Cool crew for sure, but is it photoshopped or what?
Maybe an old ford ad?
Just asking.

I have to admit, that is the best flareside slick, and crew ever.. maybe not the color, but the LINES are right.. Did you notice the box sides only go up to the belt line? Thats what makes it look so nice, (to me)

I like the tall sided box on a 4by4, but this crew has a nice shape...

I love narrow beds, long narrow beds. The absolute nicest pickup I ever layed eyes on was in 1975. A Ford dealer whose parking lot we were working on had a special ordered F250 sitting there waiting for the customer to pick it up. It was a two tone supercab with a long narrow bed. It was a camper special and had the XLT trim on the cab and hood. A big V-8 (don't remember which one) C-6, and dual gas tanks. P/S, P/B, AC. In dash AM/FM/8 track, w/23 chanell CB. It had the big Ford door mirrors, clearence lights on top, and a huge rear bumper. The collors were kind of gold and a pastal yellow, not sure what Ford called these but I remember seeing several trucks with these colors back in the day. The door sticker on this truck was over 6K$ and I had a hard time even imagining what that much money looked like back then. I would have almost killed to own that truck. Sigh, Tom.
