Interior Uphoilstery Quote

Post by kid2 »

Took my 65 down Today and got a Quote to finish the Interior. I wanted to be able to do it myself but it aint gonna happen. I was quoted $780 for the seat, headliner, door panels, and a panel for the back of the cab where the tank was. I am going to get a seat from a 90's Ford truck with a armrest built in the middle. I think it is a good price and while she was figuring it up I walked through the shop and checked out some of the stuff they were working on and it looks like they do nice work. I am going to have it done in a gray fabric and leave the sunvisors, arm rests, and carpet Black. She said it would take about a Week to do it soi as soon as I get a seat I will let her know so she can schedule me in..............Kid

Mike, I really liked the seat I had in the 90 I traded for the Uni. It was comfortable to drive and it did not have the lumbar support in it ( because of the placement of the steel rods and pins in my back the Lumbar stuff bothers me ). I did not have any problems with how the seat set for me and will also look for a seat like it for my 64 Chop Top ( my 64 chop top went back into the garage Tonite so I can get back to it ). I like it for the built in arm rest in the middle................Kid

Also probably a good idea to getting it all done at once.

Are you going with full door panels and what not... anything different then the stock style layout? Just trying to see what other people are up to while I start planning mine out...

Great price. Normally places will charge around 250-350 to cover a seat depending on the size and material. Then the headliner, panels and visors on top of that. Seems like a fair price. Should be nice when done!
