My 70 Fairlane on the dyno-vid

Post by Phil »

This car gets neglected pretty bad. It sits all winter, I change the oil and mostly never open the hood to do anything. A local shop had a dyno day today and I just happened to drive by

298/HP 310TQ. I was hoping for 350/365 but I am OK with the numbers. Itll still do mid 13s and I never have to work on it.

Sounds good anyway

Phil: You can't just go giving us dyno numbers and not tell us what lurks under the hood, and what's done to it:):)

your numbers are right for flywheel hp/tq. sounds good and 13 flat for a tank like that is good stuff. dyno numbers don't mean squat. there are 1000hp dyno queens out there that can't break 10's.

Something doesn't seem right. I assume that's a Dynojet inertia dyno? I just dynoed at 288HP and 344Tq with a 390 FE with smaller cam and a lean 600cfm Holley. I would even venture a guess that my truck and your car are pretty close weight wise and there's no way I could run mid 13's with my 3:54 gears. What's your secret?
