I'm not sure if this would work on the thick metal of our trucks
but thought i would post it!

That is so cool!!!! I'll have to try it out.... I have a dent in the Dodge door and one in the rear quarter of the wifes truck.....

Bill,
shrinking metal with heat & cold really goes back to the beginning of body repairs - used to be a torch and wet towel though. The severity of the stretching vs the the gauge of metal is also a factor even with the newer stuff.
This is just a new twist on an old trick. May take more than one application to do it and may not just "pop" like that on our trucks but it certainly would work to some extent. In short you are definitely on the right track.
I usually use dry ice myself but I have access to a free supply.
That is a pretty cool demonstration video you have though.

Works on dents but a crease with a sharp edge won't come out. Be patient and not over heat the area or you'll scorch the paint.
I took out a bunch of hail dents on my '67 GT Fastback like this, only I used a big piece of flat steel and dry ice for the chill shot.
Worked like a champ, and the insurance still paid for the new paint.

same thing I did on my hood and it had some big spots, looked like someone sat on it
took more than one try but
heat and ice

unpainted propane torch and ice in a rag

Freeze Mist Component Cooler for electronics. Might be a really good way to cool it. Radio Shack
