Re: Batteries ?
About '07 a pair of 6 volt Optimas were installed in series laying flat under the seat of our '32 pickup. They have been pretty much trouble free. One revealed it's self to be bad at time of purchase, they replaced it. Sense batteries in general sky rocketed I've quit keeping them in any thing that doesn't see much use. It's a constant shuffel but a guys got to do what you have to do.
If you can't run with the big dogs "STAY UNDER THE PORCH" !!!!!
Re: Batteries ?
I bought an optima yellow top for my 92 around two years ago, still going strong in my 05 super duty (same battery, just swapped them out between the two trucks) and no issues.
Bought it from Sams club for a lot less than Autozone! Paid around $160 for it new!

Re: Batteries ?
I've got a Duralast yellow top in my 63. It's the second one I've had in the truck since I got it four years ago. The yellow top it came with died when I had a bad alternator so I just replaced it. This second one has been running strong for two years now with no problems what so ever. My truck gets driven a couple times a week at minimum but what tends to drain mine were when the truck got used for my sisters volleyball team's get to gethers as the truck go used as a portable boom box.
