Can you tell me more about the firewall? Is it just bonded with no welding? What about the area in the middle that transittions into the transmission tunnel? Thanks for sharing your build, looks really nice!

The firewall is bonded on. Rob removed all the ribbing so we would have a flat surface to bond to. I made a template to transfer to the metal. I left the edge of the metal back from the radius of the tunnel so I could smooth the radius to a nice transition. We used a 2 part epoxy product to fill the voids in the upper corners and the radius transitions. We are trying to produce a smooth look every where you look on the truck. The drip rails being the only exception.

Thanks for the comments. We made a bit more progress today. Finished up the passenger side door jam and got some primer on and it looks pretty good I think.
The seams at the back of the truck leaded in.
We are just a few days away from getting the body and frame back together for the last time. Then we can get all the fit and fair started.

sweet, If and when you have some spare time, I wouldn't mind hearing about the step by step process for leading. I've always thought it was a lost art, and wouldn't mind learning the process. It's definitely something I am wanting to do with my truck and would be fun to learn and play with.
Keep up the good work man!

Some more progress. We got the cab interior, dash and cowl primered. Makes a big difference. Going to go get the chassis from Rod's garage tomorrow and put the body and chassis together for the last time. Then do our final fit and fair getting ready for paint very soon.
We added a filler panel on the lower part of the back glass opening.

Re: Rods 63 UNI long bed ProStreet
Been making some more progress. Began fitting the front clip and bumper and door gaps. Had a bad radius mismatch at the bottom of the A pillar and the door on both sides. On the drivers side A pillar I had to cut a slot in the pillar on the door side to pull the pillar in to match the leading edge of the door. Lots of fussy work but its coming together real nice. I hope the pictures give you an idea of what we are doing.

Re: Rods 63 UNI long bed ProStreet
Well we might have finally lost it. We have been discussing what kind of hood scoop might look good and this is what we came up with. It rises
1 1/2 inches at the back of the hood and slopes to nothing on the front of the hood. we didn't want a big scoop and we wanted to maintain the lines of the truck so here goes.
We also started the bed floor mock up

I am also going to have to do a scoop except backwards of what you are doing. Everything is looking good.
Hi I'm Justin.

Re: Rods 63 UNI long bed ProStreet
Looking very good. I like the hood scope. What are you planning for the vent cable holes in the dash? IMO - ditch the drip rails to match the rest of the reworked lines on the truck.
Love those SLICKS
Re: Rods 63 UNI long bed ProStreet
The vent cable holes have chrome caps. We would have removed the drip rails had there been any damage to them or the top. The hood scoop is presenting some challanges but that is how it is with custom work. I think I have it worked out. I'll start on it in a few days. We scored a big truck lower valance so the tucked bumper is history.
We got some more greene paint on today. The interior is now painted so another milestone has been reached.

Re: Rods 63 UNI long bed ProStreet
Put stuff in the cab to see what it looks like. It's GREEN. Fixed a couple of issues with the new lower valence and got started on the hood scoop.
If you havent noticed I've had to switch to Image Shack. For whatever reason It became impossible to access Photobucket and we weren't able to fix it so I had to cancel my pro account. I am not the least bit happy about that.
