Stock Radio Install

Post by GJ1963 »

Looking for some guidance or point to a good thread. Need to reinstall the stock bezel on my radio, and can't figure out how to line up the small brass gear to the bezel gear. Took it out to replace the speaker, check the capacitors and clean it up. Also put in a new antenna.

that piece pulls out of the radio and is installed in the faceplate then pushed back into the radio when installing the face.
the washers shim the brass gear so it lines up with the nylon gear and the clips are one inside (behind or below )the gear and one outside the face
i have the full instruction somewhere ill try to find it and post the text.

Thank you!!! That's what I needed to figure it out. It's not luck but completely unexplainable as to why the nylon gear did not shatter when I took it apart. I am now rocking out to AM radios finest. Until I get frustrated and take it back apart to add a aux in line.

Christine moment - when I got the truck and first connected the battery it started playing out clearly 'little bitty pretty one'. Through this speaker - having sat open for years with a smashed windshield.
