New 1963 F250 Build
I am new to the site and just picked up my first project. It is a 1963 Ford F250. I just moved to Iowa from Gilbert Arizona and can't get over all the rust. Guess I will get good at welding patch panels. I plan on doing a simple shop truck theme with this project. I attached a picture of the interior as it sits now. I tried to post picture of front of truck but got message saying Attachment quota met.

What part of Iowa? The best members on this site happen to live in Iowa!
Welcome to the site and welcome to Iowa!

Re: New 1963 F250 Build
I am living in the Des Moines area (Watrous and Fluer). Finally got the rest of my family here and trying to settle in. I am hoping to start meeting people with the same intrest as mine, old Ford trucks. My current daily driver is a 1979 Ford truck. I wish I would have kept it but I sold my 1959 Ford factory 4x4 in Phoenix before I moved.

Welcome from northern Illinois.
Give it a little over a year, and most of us will be coming to you. Slickstock 2014 in Altoona.
Lots of members in your area. There's a shady character with a perpetually unfinished chop top around there too!

Re: New 1963 F250 Build
Are there some pretty good wrecking yards here in Iowa to get parts? I was down in Pella and found a place called Doug's 4x4. He has quite a few old cars and truck in his yard. I have contacts back in Phoenix for rust free parts but if there is a local guy I would like to use him. I need a tailgate for the 63. It has the wrong bed (57-60) bed on it. It is also a F250 so I am trying to decide if I want to keep the 3/4 ton suspension or change it out.

Doug's has a lot of trucks and is a bit high. Car Country over here in Newton has some older stuff and I plan to head out there tomorrow to look around. There are quite a few of us around the Des Moines area so hopefully you will be able come to one of our get togethers.
