Here's an update from Kenny's sister via Facebook: "It's been a week since I've updated on Kive, Kenneth Nelson's wife. She continues to improve daily. Rehab and healing may take a little longer than we thought - It could be another month before she comes home. I have to say to my brother Kenneth Nelson "You are one dedicated man" "You have been at the hospital every single day since the accident. I know you are tired, but I am so proud of you"
As Kive says to me " So happy to be called Mrs Nelson"......I think she is lucky in many ways...."

Here's an update on Kenny's wife from his sister Cathi (via Facebook):

"For those keeping up with Kive (Kenneth Nelson's wife), I do have an update. She's having a few issues so they moved her back to ICU Sunday night. A few surgeries will be required to correct the issues but I know she will handle it like a pro. Please continue to keep her and Kenny in your thoughts and prayers."

It's been a long 66 days but she's back home. Still a lot of healing time ahead of her. Not sure about her new nurse. I'm better with wrenches than bandages. Thanks again for your support.

Kenny, great news to hear Kive is back home with you. She is probably
the one that is the happiest of all. Hospitals give good care, but it gets real
old in there after a short while. Give her all the love you can and just know there
are a lot of folks out here pulling for you two. Prayers still coming your way. TR

Here's an update on Kenny's wife from his sister Cathi. I wasn't aware until yesterday that she was back in the hospital for more surgery. Since I hadn't heard anything to the contrary, I assumed things were going better for her.

Kive had surgery yesterday. Long surgery - over 4 hours. Basically they went in and cleaned up around her liver. She had pockets of infection and an abscess on her liver. She definitely would not have been able to heal on her own, surgery was required. She went to STICU and is on a breathing tube, but only because surgery took a lot out of her and her body was tired. They might remove the tube today and she may get moved to a regular room in the next day or so - just depends on how she does. Now she starts over, healing and pain control and a few other issues. I'm confidant and Kenny is exhausted... feel free to pass on this information to your "car and truck" buddies
PS...Bless you.. it's been such a long haul for Kenny and some people have just stopped asking, they just assume she has gotten well...He needs all the support he can get.....He feels like he has been missing in action for over 4 months now...
