65 rebuild question
Ok, my poor slick has been in the shed for a few years, right now i have a lift beam and disc brake conversion. Thinking of switching gears, to dream beams and rebuild the 240. So will my disc brakes work with the dream beans and should i rebuild the 240 or try to locate a 300? Im going to keep three on the tree standard. Plan on a two carb intake and efi exaust at least!

LOL see my post/poll about engines for my 66!
what gears are in your 240 truck now. My last two trucks have had 3.50s. The big block truck i had (416+three on the tree) could have lived w 3.25s, although the 3.50s had great around town power. But the 240 NEEDS the 3.50 gear (even with the torque multiplication of an auto.) I think it would be too limiting to go to a 3.0, i dont think it could get out of its own way!
