drive shaft spins in neutral

Post by deflaytedwayz »

Hello all. I have a '63 Uni with a 292 and T-98. The rear end blew up so I had it towed home. If I start the truck, put it in neutral and give it some gas, sometimes the drive shaft spins. If I push the clutch in, it stops. Should the drive shaft be spinning in neutral, or is there something wrong with the tranny? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, that's what I figured. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks.
